Antique Cobalt Blue Leaf 4 Gallon Stoneware Crock Evan R. Jones Pittston, PA
This four gallon crock was made by the Jones Pottery works of Pittston, PA in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is stamped Evan R. Jones as opposed to Evan B. 4 in cobalt blue with a lovely brush painted cobalt blue leaf pattern. It measures 11.25" high x 11.75" wide and the opening is 10.25 and it weighs 13lbs 3oz. There are 5 small chips on the outer rim and two on the inner rim. There is one larger crack left of center extending to the bottom with one other small crack and a small chip on the back. There is some liming on the interior and some lime staining on the front. A nice survivor with great potential for a decorator or collector.
