Antique Haxstun & Co Fort Edward NY Stoneware Jug Blue Bird Decoration

  
Here is a jug that is 11 1/4" high and 7" in diameter at the base. It was at some point converted in to a lamp so there is the drill hole, and also there is a crack in the handle that we show a close-up of. On the rim there is an underglaze chip original to it and a faint hairline extending down from the handle to the dark blue spot under it. We believe the handle has been repaired at some point as from the crack down it is a different shade, but we do not think it has been replace as there appears to be a firing crack on the side of the base of the handle.

Otherwise normal signs of wear overall and a bit of glaze loss on the rim. We often have similar items available so please use this link to see our other listings.
