Description : A Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, 1-Gallon capacity, New England origin, ca. Wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with eased shoulder, tooled spout and applied strap handle. Shiny, Salt-Glazed exterior; Albany Slip interior. Impressed on the upper shoulder with a cobalt-washed stamp reading: NICHOLS & BOYNTON / BURLINGTON, VT. This was a short-lived partnership, and the mark is considered rare.

Condition : Very Good to Excellent, essentially as-made condition with strong color and desirable Burlington mark. Minor mperfections are noted below.
