Wheel-thrown, slightly-bulbous form with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim. Stenciled cobalt maker advertising reads: L. DILLINER / [Floral] / NEW / GENEV.Freehand brushed cobalt stripes at base and below rim. Shiny, gray Salt-Glazed exterior; Albany Slip interior. Condition : Expected wear on the base and upper rim (where a lid would rest); otherwise in Very Good to Excellent, as-made condition. Inherent glaze, surface and firing imperfections noted for descriptive accuracy. Some discoloration near the base; and a scar in-the-making on the lowermost stripe.
There is a small X incised on the rim (see close-up, photo #7), possibly from sharpening a knife. No chips, cracks, repaired damaged, restoration work or other excuses.
