Wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with eased shoulder and applied strap handle. Impressed on the shoulder with a cobalt-washed stamp: E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT, with a capacity designation below.

Front features a stylized Fern-Like Floral Plume with dotted accents; executed in the boldest of Slip-Trailed Cobalt.Salt-Glazed exterior; Albany Slip interior. Condition : The spout has a tiny chip (left side), and there is a contact mark near the bottom of the decoration, as shown; otherwise in Very Good to Excellent, as-made condition. Minor surface, glaze and firing imperfections noted for descriptive accuracy. A super clean example with very bold color and shiny salt glaze. See photos for complete details and close-ups.
