Impressed on the upper shoulder with a cobalt-washed stamp reading: BURGER BROs & CO. / ROCHESTER, with a freehand slip-trailed capacity designation below. This is the mark of John Burgers sons George and John, Jr.

Condition : Minor rim wear, including small nicks, and a shallow flake at the base, as shown otherwise in Very Good to Excellent, as-made condition with strong color. Inherent glaze, surface and firing imperfections, including stack marks on the left and right shoulders, noted for complete descriptive accuracy.
