Description : A diminutive salt-glazed and cobalt decorated Chicken Feeder or Waterer, Northeastern US origin, ca. By far, this is the smallest stoneware feeder I have seen; likely for raising baby chicks.Wheel-thrown, domed form with applied trough a button finial. Cobalt accents highlight the handle and intersection of forms. Condition : There is chipping on both the exterior and interior apertures from use, as shown; otherwise in Very Good as-made condition. Inherent glaze glaze, surface and firing imperfections, including contact marks on the upper shoulder, noted for descriptive accuracy. This is a true charmer that will feature prominently in any collection!
See photos for complete details and close-ups. Please consider them as part of the description. Measures only 6-7/8H to the top of the finial. Weighs approximately 2.75 lbs.
