Wheel-thrown, slightly barrel form with heavily-tooled shoulder and integratedWax Sealer rim. Salt-glazed exterior; Albany or Mineral Slip interior. Bold cobalt stencil across the body reads, simply: EXCELSIOR WORKS with a floral-type accent just below. This is the rare and highly sought after mark of Isaac Hewitt, Jr.

No cracks, repaired damage, restoration work or other excuses.
