Ovoid shaped, it is decorated with a deep blue scroll pattern and band underneath the hinged pewter lid with thumb lift. There is a blue "2" to the side of the "D" shaped applied handle and a "V" underneath the handle as well as an incised "2" beside the handle. The underside has "Made in Germany".Very good to excellent condition, there appears to be some flaws on the body that were there before the firing of the piece and a few minor chips on the rim. These flaws to not in any way take away from the beauty of this pitcher. Measures approx 12.25"h to the top of the thumb lift and is approx 6.5"w.
