An exceptional antique Stoneware Jar with freehand cobalt brushwork and stenciled Maker Advertising, 2-Gallon capacity, SW Pennsylvania origin, c. Wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and rounded rim.
Salt-glazed exterior; Albany or Mineral Slip interior. Entire front is heavily-covered with stripes, squiggles, foliate stencils, flourishes, etc.
