Blue & White RASPBERRY Stoneware Salt Box with Original Lid

  

Pictured is an uncommon & infrequently seen blue & white Raspberry salt container with lid offered for sale. The salt maintains its original cover with an embossed 16-point starburst pattern. Novel, such that, the the embossed patterns for the lid & base are so dissimilar.

The salt measures 5 5/8" in overall height, 5 7/8" in diameter, & dates from 1905 - 1925. It's in excellent condition with a perfect lid with no nicks, damage or repairs. As seen, there is a small sliver on the front, side edge of the salt. There are two tiny pin head slivers as well, noted for accuracy. A great example for your collection....
