Place By The Winding River. Early to mid-19th century early New England and Massachusetts beer & ale salt glazed stoneware ceramic stamped bottles with blue slip decoration.

10 ½" Height x 4 ½" upper body Width (where cylindrical body meets the sloped neck) x 3 ¾" base Width x 2" outer pouring spout rim Diameter x inner pouring spout. By and large, well-preserved, with no noticeable flea-bites to any of its upper pouring spout edges or baseplate margins. It's also not diminished by dark stains to its surfaces or excessive discoloration. The only and I say only knock against it, is there's a very small old line (less than an inch in length) coming up off of the bottom baseplate, no doubt previously caused by a concussion or knock against a hard surface to the base of the ceramic vessel.

This now appears stable and hasn't traveled further up the vessel's sidewalls. Although perhaps not immaculate or perfect, floating down to earth with a mini parachute, sent by God Himself from the Heavens above, it's still a pretty damn near perfect early to mid 19th century Ame ri can antique New England primitive stoneware ceramic beer, that's now between 150 to 175 years old. The slight, minor damage is isolated to the area just above the wire cut ceramic baseplate. What makes this particular stoneware ceramic bottle so peculiar and special, is that it was never circulated, directly contributing to its well-preserved condition. Pentucket Ale was produced in greater Lowell, Massachusetts.

Absolutely wonderful and a very scarce, extremely rare early New England breweriana artifact and relic from Massachusetts' early beer brewing and bottling past. C O N D I T I O N.
