Shallow Early Blue & White Spongeware Cuspidor OR Sponged Cake Crock Stoneware

  

Pictured is a seldom seen blue & white spongeware cuspidor available for sale. Cuspidor has a brass insert for drainage. The dense sponged decoration is quite vivid & has great eye. It measures 4" in height, 9 1/4" in base diameter, & dates from 1895 - 1920.

Condition with two small flakes or slivers at the exterior rim. No other damage whatsoever, no hairlines.
