Pictured is a quite small blue & white Flying Bird 1/2# covered butter crock or grease jar offered for sale. Both the embossed pattern & size are seldom seen. Three (3) flying birds, perhaps swallows or swifts, are seen on each side.

The cover is embossed with multiple small flowers on the topside & side edge which then matches the base. It measures but 3 7/8" in overall height, 4 1/4" in base diameter, & dates from 1905 - 1925. It's in superb condition.

Noted is a small sliver on the underside rim of the cover, see Pic 4 at 3 o'clock. The base edge has extremely light abrasion as well.
