Pictured is a seldom & infrequently seen blue & white spongeware pitcher offered for sale. The tall, slightly tapered pitcher is embossed with the Indian Good Luck Sign.
The design is boldly displayed on each side within a window pane border. The pattern is repeated with numerous small designs below the rim & at the base. The sponged decoration is applied only along the rim, base, and the exterior handle. The entire background surface is embossed with an orange peel texture.
It measures 8 1/4 in height & dates from 1905 - 1925. It's in excellent condition with no nicks, damage or repairs. A novel pitcher to add to ones blue & white collection.... This item is in the category "Antiques\Primitives". The seller is "tebfam044" and is located in this country: US.
